Nanci York-Brar, is a seasoned banking executive, and member of Capital Markets Advisors’ Recruiting Team, with over 25 years of experience, specializing in Global Operations, Retail and Business Banking, Financial Crimes, Regulatory and Risk Management, Wealth Management, and Internal Controls. Known for her adaptable, data-driven leadership, she thrives in fast-paced environments, leveraging technology to drive innovation, productivity, and client-centered solutions.

In January 2026, Nanci launched “York Brar Advisory Group” as Principal, where she continues to focus on advancing strategic transformation, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, and delivering high-impact results aligned with organizational vision and values. She is passionate about fostering strong partnerships, leading global teams, and driving continuous improvement through practical, scalable solutions.

A dedicated coach and mentor, Nanci inspires her teams to pursue continuous improvement, believing in the power of “1% improvements” to create meaningful transformation. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Scotiabank GBS Dominican Republic.

Nanci is deeply committed to giving back. As a three-time cancer survivor, she actively supports others by serving as Chair of the Scotiabank Team in the One Walk for Cancer and through the Wounded Warriors Foundation. She is also an avid triathlete, motivated by the physical and psychological challenge of participating in IRONMAN races.
