Charles S. Assaf, MSc. IT, Senior Advisor, Content and Business Development for CMA, brings more than 40 years of experience delivering production technology systems across financial services, telecommunications, environmental technology, and enterprise software. His early career centered on capital markets technology — fixed-income trading platforms and wealth-management systems for major Canadian financial institutions — before expanding into wireless telecommunications infrastructure and global enterprise messaging.

At a global environmental intelligence company, he built a satellite-imagery-based algae detection tool and grew it into a full harmful-algal-bloom monitoring suite, later adding a RAG-based insights platform combining satellite, sensor, weather, research, and historical data through large language models to forecast bloom conditions. His recent work spans cybersecurity and DevOps leadership across cloud infrastructure, including a multi-year advisory role supporting AWS infrastructure and security for financial-services technology in South Africa, and the consolidation of two regional APIs into a single secured platform for an international automotive marketplace.

Charles's current focus is AI systems architecture and governance — specifically, the architectural layer that governs how probabilistic AI systems produce deterministic, accountable outcomes in high-stakes environments. He serves on the OASIS Data Provenance Standards Technical Committee, contributing to industry work on data provenance, lineage, and trust. At Capital Markets Advisors, he brings four decades of hands-on systems delivery to how organizations adopt AI without losing accountability or control.
